Girls Trip!

Who you surround yourself with, traveling on a budget, and just some fun sharing!

Girls Trip & Life Hacks! This past week I took the time to travel south to escape the cold. Those from the north east will understand the much needed rays of sunshine! I wanted to share some fun adventures and some tips I always take on the road.

Your Girl Gang

Who does your inner circle include? Vibrant, confident, encouraging energy I hope?! And if it doesn’t? It’s time to make some changes girlfriend.

I know it’s hard to set boundaries with those you feel you have spent your whole life with, but sometimes it’s necessary! We all change and grow, and sometimes, just as we grow out of our fav clothes, we grow out of certain friends.

You don’t need to completely cut them out of your life, but set boundaries. Make sure they contribute as much as you do to the relationship. If they don’t, do you really think that’s fair to you? NOPE! Sorry to break it so harshly, but create a girl gang that is always there for you, knows when to push you, and knows when to listen. You deserve it! We have one life time, let’s spend it with those who contribute to our lives.

Check out our 6 Boss Babe Books That Changes My Life – each of these authors talk about who you want in your circle!

Dolla Dolla Bills

Time for a life hack babe! Vacay on a budget darling! What is up financials! Okay, okay, I know some of you are cringing right now, but guess what? The power of money will always be around, so why not take control and live a comfortable life. Here are some tips to vacationing on a budget:

  1. Do your research: There are so many alternatives to booking a hotel! I’m sure you have heard of them, but have you used them? Taking the time to shop around for a deal is so worth it! My personal favorite is Airbnb. I usually always score a full house, and guess what? More savings – the kitchen!! Staying in a couple extra nights and cooking food saves you so much! Try a new recipe, have everyone with you join in, make it an event, just simply enjoy your company!
  2. Explore and get to know the locals: There are so many perks here: First off, you get to meet new people! Secondly, you will drift away from all the over-priced tourist-y areas. There are so many nooks and crannies to find! Go to local ma and pa shops and get to know the owners – they always have great insight! And if you look enough, you can always find free stuff to do in the tourist-y area if you don’t want to miss out!
  3. Look for Coupons: Girl, there is NO shame in using coupons! Seriously, saving money should never be something you are embarrassed of! There are so many apps and google-able websites that get you all the deals! Try Retail Me Not, Flipp, or Groupon…the list is endless!

  1. Soo jealous of the cool pancake place! It looked like so much fun! 🙂
I’d also like to say that I admire your willingness and openness to exploring new and “outside of the box” places/things. There are so many creative places that I’m too scared to try out that I wish I would.
